Budatín park
Ľudovíta Štúr Park
The park is located in the Bôrik district and underwent a major renovation in 2016 . Currently, it provides a wide range of leisure and sports opportunities for all age groups . The park is surrounded by an anti-noise wall, a number of new benches, a fountain, and a free Wi-Fi network have been added. More than 200 trees and many shrubs were planted. flower beds, new lawns.
Orchard at Studničky
It is located on the original water source Studničky , used by the citizens of the city for a whole century. Due to the fact that the water source from Turská dolina did not have enough capacity, it was necessary to expand drinking water sources in Žilina. A gas station was built on the site. In the past, the yield of the well was up to 40 l/s and had a relatively constant quality. However, in 1994, an increase in the concentration of hydrochloric hydrocarbons was detected, which led to the shutdown of the water source.
In 2012, the land was leased to the city for the purpose of expanding the recreation area of Studničky park. Elements of small architecture were established, children's furniture, a fountain , benches were placed and the green area was maintained . restaurants and a cafe nearby .

Lesopark Chrasť
Lesopark is a relatively densely wooded recreation zone in Žilina interwoven with asphalt pavement and paths, benches, fire pits and climbing frames for sports activities . The center is a children's playground with a cafe where there is also a chapel built in memory of those who died in the First World War.
Lookout in the forest park:
The viewpoint in the forest park is a popular stop with a view of the village of Rosina, the surrounding fields and Lučanská Fatra and Malá Fatra. An avenue of trees leads to it, which at its end opens like a gate to the wide surroundings. There are benches for resting and birdhouses in the tree stands, where all kinds of birds and squirrels take turns.
